My name is Željka Barišić Pulig, a professional musician, an oboe player. I experienced a sudden loss of hearing in my left ear, which, for a musician, is a very challenging situation. I felt like I was in a kind of tunnel and could not be able to play, I could not estimate the volume, intonation and all that is necessary for my profession. First I experienced some kind of noise in my ear so to speak, and then a feeling of having a fluid inside the ear. After that, I went to see the family physician and she, because of my profession, sent me to the hospital. They found that there is some fluid in the cochlea and that I would be subjected to treatment that will take care of that problem.
I was hospitalized and I received therapy which is normally given in such cases. The first reports showed hearing loss in the left ear and the inability of sound positioning. After five or six days I responded very well to this treatment. My hearing was back, although the noise was still there I didn’t anymore experience the things that prompted me to see the doctor.
Medicine has done all that was needed, my hearing returned as it did, however, a sentence that forced me to look for additional help was “If the same problem occurs again, then try as quickly as possible to come here for help so that we could help you avoid the significant damage to your hearing.” It took me some time though to figure out.
I have searched the internet a little and talk to people around me. I decided to do it in Zagreb and all my stories and all my pursuits have led me to one name, Ivan Roca.
An extremely pleasant experience. The changes in my body went on for a month, and after a month there was a complete improvement of my condition as the further tests showed. A year ago, I was at first Bioqr™ therapy session. Since then, I no longer have any problems and I do my job very professionally and with pleasure.
