On January 30th, 2023, I took my beloved 19-year-old dog pet, Cappuccino, to the clinic for a blood test. The veterinarian informed me that he was suffering from acute renal failure with extremely high levels. He needed to be admitted to the hospital immediately for several days of saline injections. The following day, the hospital called to inform me that Cappuccino’s condition had worsened significantly. The veterinarian explained that acute renal failure could not be cured or reversed. It was the most painful and miserable day of my life. After discussing it with my family, we brought Cappuccino home to spend his last moments surrounded by my family.
